Elisabetta Cappellozza is Health Professions Manager at the SCS0 – General Support Services Unit of the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie (IZSVe).
She currently coordinates the Production Services Centre, a laboratory dedicated to the production of solutions and culture media required for the activities of the IZSVe’s laboratories.
She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in biomedical laboratory techniques in 2003 and a Master’s degree in food safety biotechnology in 2010 both from the University of Padua. She completed a post-graduate Master’s program in management and coordination of health professions at Sapienza University of Rome in 2013, followed by a Master’s degree in diagnostic technical health professions sciences from the University of Padua in 2016.
She began working at IZSVe in 1990 as a biomedical laboratory technician, gaining experience in virology at the National reference centre for fish, Crustacean and mollusc pathology, as well as in biosafety at IZSVe’s BSL-3 laboratories. In addition, at the IZSVe’s Central Sample Reception Office, she acquired skills in organizing sample flow and in their proper management, from assessing sample suitability to ensuring their appropriate storage and traceability.
