Professional profile
Paola Carnieletto is Health Professions Manager and Head of the Quality Management, Accreditation, and Metrology Office at the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie (IZSVe). Since May 2024, she has also served as the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Officer (RPCT) for IZSVe.
She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Laboratory Techniques in 2005 and her Master’s degree in Food Safety Biotechnology in 2008 from the University of Padua. In 2011, she completed a post-graduate Master’s program in Management and Coordination of Health Professions at Sapienza University of Rome, followed by a Master’s degree in Diagnostic Technical Health Professions Sciences from the University of Padua in 2016. She began working at IZSVe in 1992 as a biomedical laboratory technician. From 2010 to 2016, she served as a staff member in the Quality Office and Deputy Quality Manager, becoming Quality Manager for IZSVe in 2017.
She has participated in international teaching and training activities as an expert for the WHO (2010–2011) and the FAO (2019). From 2016 to 2019, she was a Board Member of the Testing and Calibration Laboratories Committee of the Italian Association for Quality Culture (AICQ). In the 2019/2020 academic year, she served as Adjunct Professor for the Master’s degree program in Diagnostic Technical Health Professions Sciences at the University of Padua (Department of Medicine), teaching the course “Process Certifications”.
