Professional profile
Martina Ustulin is a veterinary officer at the SCT4 – Udine and Pordenone Territorial Unit of the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie (IZSVe).
She graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Bologna. She subsequently completed a postgraduate specialization in Animal Health, Breeding, and Livestock Production at the University of Padua. She currently serves as a veterinary officer at the SCT4 – Udine and Pordenone peripheral structure (Pordenone) of the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie.
Her work focuses primarily on swine pathology, with a particular emphasis on anatomical pathology diagnostics, the isolation and identification of clinically relevant bacteria, and the detection and characterization of viral pathogens. In 2010, she began conducting research on issues related to the spread of Salmonella in pig farms. She has also dedicated her research to studying the mechanisms of spread, transmission, and the pathogenic role of Mycoplasma hyorhinis.
