The seminar «Advancing geospatial data in veterinary medicine. Zoning for disease response and international trade» will be held in Padova (Italy) on friday 23 May 2025. The seminar is organized by the Istitut.o Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie (IZSVe) within the activities planned by the GEOZONE project

In an increasingly interconnected world, geospatial data and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) play a critical role in veterinary medicine. This seminar will explore how GIS-based zoning supports disease response and international trade, aligning with the WOAH Terrestrial Code. Join experts as they discuss innovative solutions and strategies for improving geospatial data management in veterinary science.

The event is funded by WOAH sub-grant agreement ofr the project “GeoZone – Development of a standard for the collection and sharing of zone geographic component”.
