On Wednesday 17 december 2025, from 1:30 pm to 6:00 pm CET, the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie (IZSVe), in collaboration with the Veterinary mycology and One-Health working group of the International Society For Human And Animal Mycology (ISHAM), will held the free webinar “Animal mycosis and antifungal resistance in an One Health scenario”.

Veterinary mycology in an One Health context involves studying and managing fungal diseases that impact human, animal, and environmental health. This interdisciplinary approach addresses issues like antifungal resistance, which spreads from agriculture to clinical settings, zoonotic/saprozoonotic infections that interplay among animals and humans. Veterinary mycology’s contribution is critical because animals are involved both as patients as well as sentinels, reservoirs, or amplifiers of fungal threats. This webinar is dedicated to Claudia Cafarchia by her colleagues who had the honor of knowing her and sharing science and friendship.
